Disaster Services We were on the scene for a
total of nine fires. We provided short term housing and other emergency assistance to three families suffering from these fires.
We also responded to a local apartment flooding which became part of a National Disaster. 17 family became homeless in just a matter of a few minutes watching their apartment fill with water at 3 am.
Members of the Waseca County Disaster Team provided assistance to our neighbor chapters also during the flood response organized by the Southeast Minnesota Chapter. 2 members traveled to tornado impacted areas to assist families who lost everything to a tornado in the middle of the night..

AFES handled seven messages
between service men and women and their families. Messages
include notification of illness or death of a family member and
inquiries about the service man or woman. All Red Cross AFES
information received is
confidential.
